Will of Nancy Burnham ~ 1830

In the name of God Amen I, Nancy Burnham of the County of Camden, and State of North Carolina, of perfect, sound, and disposeing mind and memory, do hereby make this my last will and testament in the following manner. Item 1 ; I give and bequeath unto my son Doctor Burnham that tract of land I bought of Luilon Burnham upon the following conditions, that is in case he releases my estate from all the money due him from me and G-----? for the hire of his negroes & other property. In case he refuses to release his claim and said lands in full payment, I leave the lands to be sold and the debt to be paid out of the sales thereof to him and his heirs forever. Also one negro man named Aaron to him & his heirs forever. Item 2 ; I give unto my Granddaughter Haint Small, daughter of Thomas Small, one negro Girl named Ten---? to her and her heirs forever Item 3 ; I give unto Elisha Chamberlan one feather bed and furniture, one cow and calf called Tinney and her increase to him and his heirs forever. I hereby ratify, and confirm this as my last will and testament. revoking all others heretofore made. In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of October 1830. Edwin Abbott Camden County Court August Term 1840 This last will and testament of Nancy Burnham was exhibited in open court & the Excution thereof was proven in open court by the oath of Edwin Abott one of the subscribing witness thereunto and on ----? order that Leftley Adminstrater with this will ----? and to Granted to Elisha Burnham who appears in open court enter & into 13 on or Bond & security qualified thereunto ordered the will be recorded.
